This week we discussed: What do our bodies need in order to move and exercise? We talked about the importance of eating healthy food, sleeping, and drinking water. We learned that the right combination of foods provides fuel for our bodies and the importance of staying hydrated. At the dramatic play center, the children sorted fruits and vegetables. They also continued exercising with weights. At the art table, the children cut different lines and created collages, played with playdough, and made beautiful plates for Mother’s Day. At the manipulatives table, the children built with small colored blocks, drew pictures and measured them, and used Unifix cubes to create patterns. At the block area, the children used a variety of blocks to make amazing structures. At the sensory table, the children used tongs to pick up pom-poms and made patterns in ice trays.
