Exercise/ El ejercicio

This week we started our study on exercise. We started a KWL chart. The children created questions that they wanted to find through our study. At dramatic play, we set up a gym. The children lifted weights and ran on the treadmill and pretended to eat fruit. At the sensory table, the children practiced their fine motor skills by hammering golf tees to egg cartons and playdough and balanced a ball. At art table, the children drew pictures of their body, used shapes to make a person, paint with golf balls and play with playdough. At manipulative table, the children use non-standard measure to measure their feet, make patterns and count 1:1 correspondence. At literacy, the children played with alphabet floor puzzles and practiced writing letters. At science, the children recognized and identified bodies parts.
