Transportation/ El transporte
It was a short week, but it was busy! We continue to learn about air transportation. This week we discussed the part of the airplane and we learned that the engine and air help airplanes to stay in the air. At science table we played with a parachute., When a parachute falls down, air resists its movement causing the parachute to fall slowly. We added blocks to our parachute, and we notice that the fall was more quickly. We learned that the downward force that is pulling the parachute down is called gravity. Also, we played with paper airplanes. The children made it fly and we used measuring tape to measure the distance that their airplane flew. We had so much fun at science. At science the children continued pretending to go through security and take turns to be pilots. At art center, the children drew pictures, played with playdough and stamp letters and practice their fine motor skills by using scissors.
