How to mantain a friendship/ Como mantener una amistad

This week was short due to inclement weather, but we spent this week learning how to maintain a friendship. We learned how to use kind words to enter into a group, request a turn or share a toy. We learned that grabbing or snatching is not kind. We spent the past four weeks building a school community. We learned what to do when we are afraid, sad or scared at school and how teachers and friends can help or go to our safe place. We learned about the other teachers that work at the school.  This foundation will allow the children to feel secure and create positive relationships with teachers and their peers.  At art table, the children used wood sticks and model playdough to create amazing 3D art and practice their fine motor skills by cutting a fish and making their own rainbow fish. Our schedule/Nuestro horario

This week, we learned about our schedule and we encourage the children to use it so they can know what is next. It is important for young children to feel secure and this is a great way to provide for them to track time through the day and know what is next. Also, we talked about other people that work in our school such as therapies, our social emotional therapist and kitchen manager. At art table, the children experimented with shapes, painted with white and blue paint on aluminum paper and the children stamped their name in playdough. At science table, we did our first experiment. The children learned about predictions and observed the walking paper cup. At the sensory table, the children played with measuring cups, funnel and rice.
