Smart Apples

This week, we learned about kindergarten. We learned that kindergarten and our classroom are similar. Some kindergarten has learning centers and we also have different learning centers. Kindergarten have rules and teachers expect certain behaviors and we also have rules in our classroom. It was fun to learn a little bit about kindergarten!  Also, we spent our play in the different learning centers.     At  manipulative, the children practice taking turns and sharing materials with peers, practice visual discrimination and solving problem skills. At science, the children created patterns and play with magnets. At literacy, the children played with letters and sounds and literacy games such as opposite words and finding the beginning sound in words. At dramatic play, the children pretended to set a table and cook their favorite food and at blocks, the children use different blocks and played cooperatively to build amazing structures.  Our classroom is beginning a ...
