Smart Apples

We spent the last 3 days of the year celebrating the holiday. The children painted with bows, drew shapes to create a Christmas tree and used stickers to decorate it. They played with dice to count 1:1 and recognized numbers. They built with cups to make trees and use pom-poms to decorate it. It was so fun! And we finalized our week with our traditional pajama and movie day! We enjoyed a special snack and watched “The Grinch”. We want to thank all the parents for the gifts and notes. We appreciate each family and we are happy to be part of your child’s school family.   Pasamos los últimos 3 días del año celebrando la festividad. This week we learned about some holiday traditions. The children decorated our Christmas tree and decorated their own stockings. At science table, the children build with gingerbread magnets and bells, and built with toothpicks and gum spice drops and count 1:1 chocolate chip cookie.  At table game, the children used stickers to make pattern candy cane and used dice to count 1:1 and drew lines on candy canes. Also, they built with candy blocks and used pattern blocks.  At literacy, the children recognized letters and found the missing letters, dressed up man mat with a Santa outfit and practiced writing the letters U. At art table, the children decorated stockings, made a paper ornament and played with playdough. At dramatic play, the children pretended to bake cookies and decorated our Christmas tree.
