Buildings/Los edificios
This week we continued our study on buildings. We learned about the people that work together to build buildings and some of the tools they use. At art table the children made a skyscraper and used paper to make a house. At sensory table, the children played with water and foam blocks. They learned that it is very hard to build on water, but they found the way to build towers. At dramatic play, the children pretended to use different tools and they used a variety of materials to build. At science table the children used marshmallows and toothpicks to build a house to protect a pig. We tested the sturdiness of their house by blowing it. The children created an amazing house! We added wooden logs so the children could experiment with them and build different houses. It was challenging but the children made great structures.
