Winter Celebration!
This week we celebrated our learning on winter. We read the book “The Mitten” and we added prompts to our library center and the children retell the story. Also, the children created beautiful mittens. The children painted with frozen paint. It was fun to talk about how different liquid can go from liquid state to solid. The children practice taking and requesting a turn. We play Pengoloo, the children practice recognizing colors and count 1:1 correspondence. The children are writing letters and numbers. We added writing tools and paper to centers. The children are writing words and sound it words. The children are counting 1:1 correspondence, writing numbers and learning about simple adding operations. The children practice drawing Mat man. It is a fun way to teach children to draw a person with recognizable body parts. On Friday, we had our craft and cupcake day. It was fun to share time with parents and having a delicious cupcake. Our next study will be about the human body, doctor and dentist.
