Human Body!
This week we continue learning about our human body and how organs work together. We learned about how our brain is connected to our senses and how our brain helps us to collect information. We learned how our heart pump blood to our whole body and carry oxygen. Our heart pump slower when we sleep but it pumps really fast when we exercise. We experimented with a pumping heart model. The children explored how our heart pump blood. We learned about how our lungs help us to breath. We are using balloons to explain to the children how our lungs work. It was really fun! Also, we exercise our lungs by blowing paint with a straw. The children work with a partner to measure their body. This week, we had a great volunteer that played with the children. Thanks Mr. Santino! Next week, we will be learning about dental health and how to keep our teeth healthy.
