Human Body/ El cuerpo humano

It was a short week, but full of learning! We continued learning about the human body. We learned that the brain controls our emotions, solve problems and control our bodies. Also, we learned that lungs help us to breath, and they are located in our chest.  At science, the children created a lung model and continued labeling the names of bones and body parts and learning the bones names. At art center, the children played with mannequin and then drew pictures of the body, used yarn to represent veins and used shapes to make a body/person. At blocks, the children used blocks to make skeletons and people. At manipulative table, the children counted plastic 1:1 correspondence and played with puzzles. At dramatic, they continued to pretend to be a doctor and patient. This week, they measured and weighed their patient and gave medicine. It was a fun week, and the children are loving our human body study!

Fue una semana corta, ¡pero llena de aprendizaje! Seguimos aprendiendo sobre el cuerpo humano. Aprendimos que el cerebro controla nuestras emociones, resuelve problemas y controla nuestro cuerpo. También aprendimos que los pulmones nos ayudan a respirar y que están ubicados en el pecho. En ciencias, los niños crearon un modelo de pulmón y continuaron nombrando los huesos y las partes del cuerpo, aprendiendo los nombres de los huesos. En el centro de arte, jugaron con maniquíes y luego dibujaron imágenes del cuerpo, usaron hilo para representar venas y usaron formas para formar un cuerpo/persona. En bloques, usaron bloques para hacer esqueletos y personas. En la mesa de manipulación, contaron la correspondencia 1:1 de plástico y jugaron con rompecabezas. En teatro, siguieron jugando a ser un médico y un paciente. Esta semana, midieron y pesaron a su paciente y le administraron medicamentos. ¡Fue una semana divertida y a los niños les encantó nuestro estudio del cuerpo humano!
